Sprinkler system repair in Austin, Texas
    Same-Week Service

    AustinSprinkler Repair

Same-week service. Licensed irrigation work. We fix it right the first time.

Most Austin sprinkler problems are one of four things: a broken head, a stuck valve, a cut wire or a controller that lost its program. A leaking system wastes water you are paying for and can breach city watering rules. We diagnose the whole system rather than replacing the part you noticed.

    Know the Signs

Common Problems and What They Mean

    Water pooling in one spot

Broken head or cracked lateral line underground. The water has nowhere to go so it surfaces.

A zone that will not turn on

Valve solenoid failure or a cut wire between the controller and the valve box.

A zone that will not turn off

Stuck valve diaphragm. Debris or wear keeps the valve open and the zone runs until you shut off the main.

    Low pressure across all zones

Mainline leak or a failing backflow device. Pressure drops system wide.

Dry patches in a working zone

Head spacing is off or a nozzle is clogged. Coverage gaps leave dead strips of grass.

Spiking water bill, no visible leak

Underground lateral break. The water never surfaces but runs steadily under the soil.

    What We Do

    What a Diagnostic Visit Covers

    • Run every zone and watch each head for coverage, arc and alignment
    • Test every valve and the wiring back to the controller
    • Inspect the backflow device for leaks and proper function
    • Review the controller programme and watering schedule
    • Check head spacing and nozzle condition across the property
    • Hand you a written list of what needs doing now and what can wait
    Stay Compliant

    Austin Watering Restrictions

Austin Water runs a staged restriction system. The stage in effect changes with drought conditions, and the rules shift with it. In Stage 2, for example, watering is allowed one day per week based on your address, before 10am or after 7pm.

We programme your controller to match the current stage so you do not get cited for watering on the wrong day. A leaking system that runs outside your allowed window can put you in violation even if the schedule is correct. Fixing the leak is part of staying compliant.

We check the current stage before we set your schedule and update it when the city changes restrictions. You do not have to track it yourself.

    Backflow Testing

A backflow device keeps irrigation water from flowing backward into your drinking water supply. Texas requires annual testing on most systems that have one. If yours has not been tested in the last year, you are likely out of compliance.

We handle the test, file the paperwork with the city, and schedule a reminder for next year. If the device fails, we repair or replace it on the spot so you do not lose coverage waiting for a second visit.

    Honest Advice

    Repair or Replace?

    When to Repair

If the system is under 15 years old, has good head spacing, and the layout still makes sense for your yard, repair it. Most systems need parts, not a full rebuild.

    $120 to $350typical repair range

    When to Replace

If the system predates water restrictions, has poor coverage from the start, or the mainline is failing in multiple places, a redesign saves water and money long term.

    $2,500 to $6,000full system replacement

    Licensed Irrigation Work

Texas requires a licensed irrigator for irrigation repair and modification. Live Oak Studio uses one on every job. Most competitors skip this detail. We do not, because it protects your system, your water supply, and your compliance with city code.
